On October 2 of 2015, Stratford High School Lady Bulldogs Softball team won their regional tournament to qualify for their first ever appearance in the state softball tournament. Madison’s fly ball catch during the regional softball tournament against Hobart helped cinch the win to qualify for the state tournament. Then on October 8 of 2015, Stratford High School Fast Pitch Softball team made its first appearance in Class 2A softball state tournament held at Hall of Fame Stadium. Stratford faced local rival Latta. Although Latta won the game, the Stratford team played with integrity and heart.
